PROOF OF CONCEPT LICENCE – UCL MotionInput (v2 – Sept 2021)
These terms set out the limited basis on which UCL makes available the computer program and related documentation for UCL MotionInput (v2 – Sept 2021) (Software).

The Software is available from its original location at: www.motioninput.com. The Software is compatible with Windows 10 and Windows 11 that have full access to running executable Windows x64 applications, with Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime installed. It includes hand tracking, touch point recognition, eye tracking, head movement tracking, exercise recognition with full body gestures, Kinect layer simulation for developers and two handed navigation in games. It allows you to control a number of Windows applications and games.

The Software is an experimental build released for users (Users) to try, test and report logs of issues and improvements back to the MotionInput community (via the main website located at www.motioninput.com). The Software is not intended for general purpose end-users and requires further development before further testing and/or release.

The Software has been subjected to only limited testing on various configurations of hardware. It may not work on all hardware and may also contain bugs, defects and errors. The Software may crash or cause other systems to crash, and warning messages may be shown. Some processes may not be calculated effectively/efficiently enough in this version of the Software.

Some features of the Software, both now and in the future, may require administrator privileges to operate. Users should always refer to the main website at motioninput.com for further release information, bug fixes and access to the main community.

Users acknowledge that UCL shall have the right to use, in any manner and for any purpose, any information gained as a result of a User’s use and evaluation of the Software. Such information shall include but not be limited to changes, modifications and corrections to the Software. UCL’s rights include the right to incorporate such information into computer programs and documentation.

Nothing in this licence transfers any ownership rights in the Software. UCL or its licensors owns all rights, title and interest, including but not limited to copyright, patent, trade secret, and all other intellectual property rights, in the Software.

The Software is provided on an ‘as is’ basis. UCL does not accept any liability resulting from User’s access to or use of the Software except where it is unlawful to exclude or limit that liability. Users use the Software at their own risk.

Users must ensure that they use the Software in a safe environment, with sufficient space to avoid injury to themselves or others or damage to property.

This licence is subject to English law and English jurisdiction.
